With the frontman of Odd Future”s album dropping this coming Tuesday, Tyler, the Creator drops the video for a much anticipated track from the album titled “IFHY”. This track features Pharrell Williams and the visuals for the song are pretty original. Tyler is seen as a plastic doll inside a doll house rapping his ass off beside a plastic girl. At the end of the video we are left with a cliffhanger to another track just like he did with “Bimmer” in the “Domo23” video. This dude definitely knows how to keep his fans on edge. Electronic producer Gramatik is one of the biggest names in electronic music right now and we’re bringing him back through Texas once again with opening acts from Cherub and heRobust. This time through he’ll be rocking a completely new lighting and stage setup entitled The Coil, inspired by the life and work of Nikola Tesla. A poster for the Chicago, Illinois music festival leaked today revealing the full lineup which will take place early August. The Chicago Tribune has confirmed that this lineup is in fact legit. With the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Azealia Banks, 2 Chainz, Baauer, Theophilus London, and Chance the Rapper on the bill hopefully C3 which runs both Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival can pull some of those onto the ACL lineup as well.

Monster Energy Drink brings us an exclusive behind the scenes look at everything going on with the XXL Freshman 2013 Cover. The video shows what happens when you bring together ten of the biggest up and coming rappers in the business. Featured in the short clip you are able to hear snippets of the soon to be heard cyphers which everyone is always excited about hearing. It’ll be interesting to see who can spit the best verse as more from the Freshman madness is soon to unfold.

XXL announced their esteemed, and seemingly always controversial, Freshman List earlier this morning and have now released the picture of the cover also. The cover features artists who we’ve brought through Texas before including ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, Travi$ Scott and H-Town’s Kirko Bangz so it’s great to see them getting further recognition. The list also includes Logic, who we’re bringing to San Antonio in May on his Welcome To Forever Tour. Tickets for his show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. on our homepage.

Logic has slowly amassed a tremendously loyal online following that grew immensely over the past couple years. Starting May 14, Logic is embarking on his second national headlining tour in support of his forthcoming project, Young Sinatra: Welcome To Forever, according to his website, with support from fellow RattPack member C Dot Castro and NYC-native Skizzy Mars.  He’ll be rolling through San Antonio at the White Rabbit on May 17. The 2011 standout track from alternate/electronic band AWOLNATION found itself in the grasp of two of TDE’s biggest superstars. The song itself has the catchy pumped up chorus that everyone already knows by now and the beat itself is easy for Kendrick and Solo to demolish. TDE was already having a pretty good week in which Kendrick released the “BDKMV” (Remix) with Jay-Z, ScHoolBoy Q dropped his single “Yay Yay”, and now the duo of Kendrick and Ab-Soul released this.
