MRL-FALL-US-TOUR

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis had one hell of an evening at the American Music Awards. They performed “Can’t Hold Us” with Ray Dalton via a live feed from their show in Miami, which you can view a video of here. The duo also took home the award for best rap/hip-hop album and took the opportunity to get political in their speech, speaking out against racial profiling. Macklemore said, “Due to the fact that we are in Florida tonight accepting this award, I want to acknowledge Trayvon Martin and the hundreds and hundreds of kids who are dying each year due to racial profiling and the violence that follows. These are our friends, our neighbors, our peers, our fans, and it’s time that we look out for the youth and fight against racism and the laws that protect it.” You can catch Macklemore and Ryan Lewis with Big K.R.I.T. and Talib Kweli this week in Houston, Austin and Dallas. Get tickets for their shows below.

It’s finally here. The track we’ve all been waiting for by ScHoolboy Q. After months of anticipation coming from the snippet of this track “Man of the Year” featured at the end of the “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” music video, TDE has finally unleashed what might be the single to blow the Q hype to superstar proportions. Q’s debut album Oxymoron should be due out first quarter 2014, and judging by what we’ve heard so far it’s gonna be fantastic.

It’s safe to say that TDE has been killing the game these past few years. Everyone involved in the creative process in this label deserves a lot of credit. From the original Black Hippy members to their new label mates in Isaiah Rashad and SZA, everyone in this crew has a whole lot of talent. As fans, it’s always a good day when someone on TDE drops a track and today is especially great with new lady SZA giving us a video to her track “Ice.Moon” and ScHoolboy Q hopefully coming through with his much anticipated next single “Man of the Year” later today. SZA provides some beautiful airy vocals and melodies over a crazy beat on this one. These guys just keep getting better and better.

The video features just her, but the soundcloud version features the verse from Solo. Check em both out; enjoy.

Kanye West – Bound 2 [Video]

Kanye West

Mr. West dropped the visuals for the final track from his critically acclaimed 2013 album Yeezus this morning debuting the video on the Ellen Degeneres Show. The track “Bound 2”, is musically most similar to something we”d have heard on albums like The College Dropout or even Late Registration. He tied together the experimental nature he went for on his newest project, and used the track to show the listeners that he still holds true to his roots. The video features Ye”s fiancé Kim Kardashian making a very bold appearance. Check it out below:

clams-casino

Producer Clams Casino and up and coming rapper Vic Mensa are teaming up with HP to bring us a livestream of them creating an original track on youtube. Clams Casino is incredibly dope, having made beats for most notably A$AP Rocky and Lil B. His sound is very unique. Vic just released his solo mixtape INNANETAPE, but he’s no rookie to the rap game. Having been a part of the group Kids These Days, he is now venturing into a solo career and he definitely has the sound and charisma to be successful on his own. Be sure to check out the livestream again tomorrow.

NBA Live 14 Soundtrack

NBA LIVE 14

With the recent release of Sony’s PS4, and Microsoft’s Xbox One soon to follow coming at the end of this week, console games like NBA Live are making a comeback. It’s been a few years since EA Sports released the last NBA Live game, and this next gen 2014 version should be their best release to date. With millions of buyers of either of the consoles coming in the next few months, being featured on the soundtrack for this game is a big accomplishment and great for marketing purposes. The NBA Live 14 soundtrack features songs by artists such as Ace Hood, Action Bronson, Big Sean, Casey Veggies, Danny Brown, Diplo, Dizzy Wright, Joey Bada$$, Logic, Major Lazer, Pusha T, ScHoolboy Q, Travis Scott, and Vic Mensa. Damn, if you’re trying to decide between 2K and Live for your next gen hoops game, Live above and beyond has the better soundtrack.
