XO artist Nav and label mate The Weeknd announced the release of their new song titled “Some Way” on Twitter this morning. FYI, Nav is an up-and-coming Toronto rapper, who you may remember hearing on Travis Scott’s “Beibs in the Trap”
According to Complex, “despite several high-profile collaborations, including this one, not much is known about Nav at this point. However, he reportedly has a collaborative album on the way with Metro Boomin.”
G.O.O.D. Music artist Desiigner recently released his brand new song called “Outlet” on Beats 1 Radio and also announced a new tour with the same name. According to Complex, “this is a track that Desiigner has teased for months now, and even used it in a commercial without dropping the official version.”
After killing the charts with “Panda,” this new track will definitely be the new hype anthem! Click here to listen to track on Spotify!
After an austere year of media distress and relationship struggles that caused significant pressure upon the Grammy nominated R&B songstress, Kehlani Parrish made a recharged and rediscovered come back with her debut album SweetSexySavage.
Kehlani highlights her vulnerabilities acknowledging her imperfections and hardships. In “Keep On,” she embraces herself and her flaws and transitions with a depiction of the fact that despite her ineptness in love and life, she can also be the woman of your dreams in her hit track, “Distraction.” Kehlani highlights her sweet yet savage disposition through each track, such as “On Do U Dirty.” “Have you all up in your feelings/Experienced, I did it times before/And I can see you from a distance/I could fuck you now and years later on/You gon’ be stuck, just reminiscing.”
Kehlani’s extreme candor and self love portrayed throughout this album is undoubtedly going to launch her into the apex of R&B and her first-week numbers definitely defend that. Lani has pushed nearly 60,000 units within the first week of her album release. The Oakland-born R&B singer maintained three tracks on the Billboard Top 100 before the full album release. After being nominated for a Grammy for “Best Urban Contemporary Album” for her mixtape, You Should Be Here, Lani put herself on the map and is bound for even more recognition with the release of this project.
Kehlani is scheduled to kick off the SweetSexySavage World Tour this month in Montreal, with four upcoming Texas dates.
Rozay’s upcoming album Rather You Than Me was announced last November and the hype ensued. Let’s talk about why. This is the first album that will be released via his new venture with Epic records. Ross had a long running career with the historic Def Jam label and it was assumed that he would renew his contract with them. Instead he chose to join the new energy that L.A. Reid is building with a roster that includes Future, DJ Khaled, Travis Scott, Jidenna, 21 Savage, Yo Gotti and more.
Ross announced the name of the forthcoming album via a sweatshirt he fashioned on the red carpet at the AMA’s.
Two months have gone by and “I Think She Like Me” is the first taste of the album available to us. The video features Ty Dolla Sign and is typical Rick Ross braggadocio. He raps about hitting Cannes film festival with Leonardo Di Caprio and even tosses in a line about being neighbors with NFL star Tom Brady.

After months of hype, Major Lazer has finally released the collaboration with PartyNextDoor and Nicki Minaj titled “Run Up.” The song definitely plays on Diplo’s like for the dancehall sound and is a certified banger. According to Complex, “Run Up” is expected to be on Major Lazer’s upcoming fourth studio album, Music Is the Weapon.”
And while visiting Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show last summer, Diplo let us know some of the artists’ who might be featured on the album.
“Definitely we have Usher on it. [“Lean On” collaborator] MØ’s back on songs,” he said. “We have a song with Sam Hunt which is very unusual, but I love him. Travis Scott. I don’t even know; I have to go back…Sia is on a couple ideas, but one of the records might be her record. She’s definitely background vocals on a song.”
Iceberg is the title for the upcoming album from artist/producer Oddisee. Fans got a taste of the album from the previous single “Things” back in December and today the DC native delivers “Like Really”, a reality record that is oh so relevant considering America’s corrosive political climate at the moment. There are some pretty obvious antidotes on this song…
“How do you police the streets of a neighborhood you do not engage in/Why a brother get three for a sack while your brother go free for a raping…”
Last year, the members of The Internet announced plans to release individual albums in 2017. And Syd is making good on this promise by dropping a solo track titled “Body,” which she says she wanted to be the “baby making anthem for 2017.”
The track also premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 and is produced by MeLo-X. According to Pigeons and Planes, the song “creates the ultimate setting of intimacy before Syd even says a word and Syd flexes her already sultry and breathy vocals to match the mood of the rhythm.”
This morning, Future dropped a brand new video for the track “Poppin Tags!’ The song originally debuted back in November during an episode of OVO Sound Radio. According to Complex, in the video “Future puts his lavish lifestyle on full display. There’s cash, cars, and everything in between, as the rapper shows off his flashy side.”
We’re not sure if this video means that we should a expect a new project from Future since he hasn’t officially announced anything yet. But Future is known for dropping surprise tapes, so it’s safe to expect a new mixtape or album any day now.
Today is…well today. Friday January 20th. A lot of people are coping with the inauguration of the 45th President of The United States. New York emcee Joey Badass is turning to the music. “Land Of The Free” is a telling single which laments the direction that America is heading toward. It’s also the rappers birthday and the anniversary of his debut B4.Da.$$. Album that poised him for so much success.
