Joey Badass has dropped the video for the “Land of the Free,” which will be included on his sophomore album titled All-AmeriKKKan Bada$$ scheduled to be released on April 7 via Cinematic Music Group and Pro Era Records.
According to Billboard, “in the powerful video, Joey alternates between speaking to a group of children in a windy meadow and standing in solidarity with a group of black-clad adults in a desert with their hands chained together, building to a confrontation with a firing squad made up of white police officers and businessmen, who ruthlessly shoot several of the prisoners.”
This morning, Future dropped a brand new video for the track “Poppin Tags!’ The song originally debuted back in November during an episode of OVO Sound Radio. According to Complex, in the video “Future puts his lavish lifestyle on full display. There’s cash, cars, and everything in between, as the rapper shows off his flashy side.”
We’re not sure if this video means that we should a expect a new project from Future since he hasn’t officially announced anything yet. But Future is known for dropping surprise tapes, so it’s safe to expect a new mixtape or album any day now.
The video for “Good Drank” shot entirely in black and white has finally dropped featuring rappers 2 Chainz, Quavo and Gucci Mane. According to HNHH, “the video was first teased back in October when Street Execs’ WeHardProductions shared some behind the scenes pictures & clips from the video shoot, but after three months it’s finally here.”
Additionally, the video was directed by Howard Ross and was reportedly shot at 2 Chainz’s “Escobar Restaurant” in ATL.
Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods has dropped a video for “Forever” directed by LOUIEKNOWS off his last mixtape called “Gang Shit Only.” According to XXL, Chevy says that “most of his videos have been shot on the block back in Pittsburgh with the homies, smoking weed, showing guns, but his recent move to L.A., his life took a transition and he wanted to show that he’s not in the inner city anymore.”
This video drops ahead of his debut album titled Taylor’d that is expected to drop later this year.
It’s been a minute since we’ve been gifted with new music from SZA. She dropped her last project, Z, in 2014. There’s been a lot of back and fourth for her upcoming album, and at one point it seemed like she quit TDE, but here we are today.
This evening SZA confirmed that we will, indeed, be getting a new album from her this year, A.Rolling Stone is already referring to it as being one of the “most highly anticipated albums of this year”, and I agree.
SZA also debuted a few new tracks last night, one of which surfaced the internet featuring La Flame. According to Billboard, the track is “Love Galore”. Peep the snippets below, and stay on the lookout for details for A.
Lil Yachty revisits his Summer Songs 2 mixtape and drops a new video for “Shoot Out the Roof.” The colorful video finds Yachty and his crew wearing matching white uniforms and playing around with paintballs.
Additionally, Yachty recently told Rolling Stone that “his next album won’t rely as much on that imagery.” So I guess that means we should enjoy these colorful and energetic videos for the time being.
Today, Migos released a new video for their track “T-Shirt,” which will be included on their new album Culture dropping next month. According to Complex, “the adventurous video takes Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff to the blistering wilderness where they get their Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant on while rapping along to the catchy trap anthem.”
Even Chance The Rapper loved the video so much that he dedicated an entire twitter thread to the song and wants Quavo to direct his next video.
This is quite the video. Ab-Soul dropped visuals for his latest track “Womanogamy” off his newly released album Do What Thou Wilt and it is extremely NSFW. It’s also compelling, beautifully shot, and most certainly unforgettable. Directed by Yellow Nguyen, this video draws you in from the start with the instantly recognizable TDE logo to the very last second. The story starts with a hilarious skit about not being able to get into a strip club (maybe relatable for some of you reading this?) and follows Soulo through the club with the subject of the track, WOMEN, everywhere. Let’s face it, this video is borderline softcore porn. It’s also so visually appealing and mesmerizing that you almost don’t hear the song. Check it out for yourself below. Do What Thou Wilt is available on iTunes now.
With his fourth studio album titled I Decided dropping next month, Big Sean has dropped the second video off the album for his “Moves” track. In a recent interview with Complex, “Sean revealed the project is a concept album that he described as a second chance at life.”
Additionally, we can also expect another collaborative project with Jhene Aiko in 2017.
My 4th album “I Decided.” drops 2.3.17.
Preorder + new music at midnite EST.
Can’t wait to share this story with yall. pic.twitter.com/zLdFdJ02eK
Premiering back in March of this year is “PRBLMS” by Atlanta singer/rapper 6LACK, who has skyrocketed to the top after the release of the song. Zane Low also played 6LACK’s “PRBLMS” on his Beats 1 radio show this past May giving the song even more exposure.
And now the Atlanta singer has come through with the video premiere for the track. According to Complex, “‘PRBLMS’ mirrors my current life,” 6LACK told Complex over email. “I wanted to let people know exactly where I am. It’s a huge transitional period for me right now. I’m free, and am getting ready to release the first body of work that best reflects who I am and where I am in my life. The ‘PRBLMS’ video represents a fresh start in every realm.”
