Jambalaya : Austin : Moves to Austin Music Hall // Set Times Announced

Our lineup for Summer 2013 was scheduled to play 3,000 capacity venues, but because Austin Music Hall had a previously confirmed event we looked to make an exception for Austin with The Backyard. However, when the Music Hall became available it made sense for us to make a move to downtown Austin to keep the similar model we’ve applied in the other markets. We love The Backyard and look to produce an event there soon.

In other news, we are incredibly saddened to share that Araabmuzik was shot in a robbery attempt (via billboard) and will not be able to perform at these events.

With Jambalaya the idea is for the fans to expect something that they’ve never experienced before. Our ipods today are not comprised of one genre, they’re a myriad, and it isn’t about making this in a huge field with multiple stages (although big festivals are great) but this particular event is about bringing different “stages” of talent and putting them on back to back. Its about providing a festival experience in an intimate setting. It exists in a space that hasn’t been explored but that we know that concert goer will adore. 3 years ago we booked an event that featured Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Steve Aoki,Big Sean, Bun B, ScHoolBoy Q, Chiddy Bang, and had special guest sets by Skrillex and Wiz Khalifa.. We were early in projecting the careers on that lineup, as we all know this would now be capable of selling out arenas. That’s what we’re here to do with Jambalaya. This is an 8 hour event with the best mixture of hiphop and dance music we could assemble. It is curated with love and passion for taste. Part of the vision is bringing a festival experience into a smaller club than one would expect it to play.
