First Performances Include Yung Lean on December 8 and Tyler, The Creator on December 12

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (November 25, 2014)—Alamo City Music Hall is launching as a new San Antonio music & entertainment venue, which will reside in the location previously held by Backstage Live at 1305 E. Houston Street. The venue is currently undergoing a major rejuvenation, including a new state-of-the-art sound system, dynamic lighting, revamped green rooms, and renovated ticketing and box office operations, all of which will contribute to a brand new exceptional concert experience for music fans.

The venue is comprised of two rooms: the Alamo City Music Hall and Alamo City Club. ScoreMore Shows will use the new venue (both Hall and Club) as their home base for San Antonio shows. The Texas-based concert promoters have been bringing highly anticipated performances to San Antonio since 2010 and are best known for booking hip-hop stars like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, ScHoolboy Q, and more at the White Rabbit. ScoreMore will be joined by promoter Twin Productions, who will also be bringing shows to the new venue, and all tickets purchased for Twin Productions shows at Backstage Live will be honored. Alamo City Music Hall will also be open to other established promoters in the market.

The first concert in Alamo City Music Hall will be Yung Lean on December 8, 2014, which is a ScoreMore Shows performance moved from a previous location, to be followed by Tyler, The Creator on December 12. Additionally, Wale’s performance on February 7, 2014, previously scheduled to play Backstage Live, will also be held at the Hall.

“The goal of the Alamo City Music Hall is to bring amazing and memorable experiences to music fans at a great venue,” says venue owner, Sylvia Fernandez. “We are so fortunate to be working with a stellar cast of music lovers to make the Hall a venue the city can be proud of.”

San Antonio native Kevin Hayden, who has been with ScoreMore Shows since 2010, will oversee all grassroots marketing efforts for both Alamo City Music Hall and Alamo City Club. Jason Sabala, previously at Emo’s and Antone’s in Austin, will also join the team, having been brought on by venue owner Sylvia Fernandez as a consultant to enforce quality control, to ensure that fans and bands alike have the best experience possible.

Alamo City Music Hall and Alamo City Club are located at 1305 E. Houston St., San Antonio, Texas 78205. More information is now available at www.ScoreMoreShows.com, as the Alamo City Music Hall website, www.AlamoCityMusicHall.com, will debut on Monday, December 1 prior to the official venue opening Monday, December 8. ABOUT SCOREMORE SHOWS:
ScoreMore Shows began in 2009 in Austin, Texas when a group of likeminded students discovered that the best way to make college students feel welcome at events and ensure they had a great time was to organize the events themselves. This group began to put on concerts produced by and for the students. A growing, diverse crowd at their concerts combined with a fresh approach to promoting live music allowed ScoreMore to quickly make a name for themselves in Texas and the surrounding states. ScoreMore has been the first to book future superstars like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, J. Cole, Steve Aoki, Wale, A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Tyler, The Creator and many more. By starting with acts in the 100-300 capacity club range, and growing them to arenas, ScoreMore has had a rare experience of growing with their clients.

Through their collegiate oriented marketing approach, ScoreMore has established itself in twelve college markets: Austin, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, San Antonio, College Station, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Bloomington, Ann Arbor, Champaign, and Little Rock. By providing artists, managers, and agents consistent crowds in attendance at their shows through cutting edge promotion, ScoreMore has become one of the most highly touted promotional entities in the country.
