King Push released this 22-minute film to fall in line Darkest Before Dawn‘s release today. Instead of making it all about the music, though, this short film follows the demise of a small group of hustlers, following in line with the gritty soundtrack to the streets that Pusha created with his new album. The new King plays himself as a one of hustlers wrestling with some all-too-real demons. With minimal dialogue and powerful imagery, the short film is a fitting bonus piece for the album.
The video features songs from DBD, including “M.P.A.” featuring Kanye West and A$AP Rocky (brilliantly produced by J Cole), Sunshine with Jill Scott, and “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets.” Follow Pusha’s struggle below.
