DJ/producer Statik Selektah is making a thematic splash with his seventh album. Lucky 7 is releasing on July 7th (we see what you did there), and is available to pre-order on iTunes now. To get the public geared up, he called on two of his favorite collaborators: Action Bronson & Joey Bada$$. The result is “Beautiful Life”, a smooth groove track that has all the elements of nostalgia succinctly wrapped together.
Shout out to Action Bronson for making the most entertaining videos of 2015 so far. “Actin Crazy” was a masterpiece, and the visuals for the follow up single “Baby Blue” do not disappoint. Action’s getting pretty good at choosing visual effects, as he’s able to play many characters at the same time in this video, and he also lives up to his name with some cool stunts against a bad guy. Chance the Rapper’s resentful bars in “Baby Blue” are already infamous, and this video does a good job of cartoonishly acting them out, most notably with the line “I hope your t*tties are all saggy in your early 20s.” This Lil Chri$ video will get fans pumped to listen to Action’s major-label debut Mr. Wonderful which is officially available on iTunes today.
When “opportunity be knockin'” sometimes you just have to play one-on-one with a dinosaur, fly a rocket ship, and ride a giant shark monster through the ocean. Action Bronson demonstrates the power of the green screen in the new video for “Actin Crazy.” Action’s crazy adventures in this video are just plain fun to watch. Where did he learn to do the splits?
