LA Rapper/Singer Anderson .Paak has dropped some new funky heat with BJ The Chicago Kid. Anderson .Paak gained alot of exposure in 2015 with his new music and contributions to Dr. Dre‘s Compton. His lyrical skill and soulful vocals showcase the gospel elements within hip hop. The LA rapper has just released a new album entitled Malibu. Malibu features some pretty heavy hitting features including BJ The Chicago Kid‘s contribution on “The Waters”. This track’s groovy bass line is enough to have anyone bobbing their head, but BJ’s additional vocals add soul to compliment .Paak’s funk. BJ’s background crooning sets the overall mood for this “ghetto gospel”. You can listen to “The Waters” below.
Today, BJ The Chicago Kid drops a remix of ‘Church’ with help from his Chicago friends Jeremih and Lil’ Durk. Stream the remix above, BJ The Chicago Kid’s Motown debut In My Mind is coming soon.
BJ The Chicago Kid makes a pretty compelling plea for the job of pleasing his lady in this cut with Big K.R.I.T. The song will be featured on BJ’s forthcoming album, In My Mind, which has no official release date yet.

We DID get an album title; In My Mind drops next year. Although this wasn’t the typical interview, you can watch below to get inside the head of one of the most talented soul singers in today’s music. Watch the clip below.
