Kid Cudi – “Surfin” feat. Pharrell [Visual]

Kid Cudi’s making all the moves from rehab. This past weekend he took another shot at Drake, and today he dropped the visual for “Surfin” featuring Pharrell.

In the video Cudi’s dancing around with A$AP Rocky and Jaden Smith, and looks extremely happy. It can be assumed that the video was made prior to his depression confession/rehab announcement, but it can only give us hope that Cudi’s on a real road to recovery.

Peep the visual for “Surfin” below and stay on the lookout for Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin,. which is currently on delay.

Today Kid Cudi released details on his upcoming album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, including album artwork, tracklist, and release date. Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ is set to drop this Friday, September 30th. The announced features of Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000), Travis $cott, Pharrell, and Willow Smith definitely give us hope for a hip-hop infused Cudder album, opposed to his most recent release, Speeding’ Bullet to Heaven, where he tried to be a rockstar.

Kid Cudi: Shots Fired

cud

Earlier today Kid Cudi took it to his Twitter to vent, just a little bit. The rant is pretty much all over the place, and there’s no sign of what exactly sparked it.

Cudi starts with showing love to upcoming artists..

“All my youngins out here reppin’, A$AP Rocky and the whole A$AP family, Travis $cott, SuperDuper Kyle, Audio Push, Hit Boy, etc, I see ya’ll”

Then it ultimately takes a toll when he takes direct shots at Drake and Kanye, even though he was cool with Ye back in February at the Yeezy Season/TLOP Madison Square Garden event…

“I need ya’ll to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire existence. My tweets apply to who they apply.  Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas don’t give a fuck about me. And they ain’t fuckin’ with me.”

Ouch!

Will Aubrey and/or Ye reply? Will this continue on forever like the Drake/Meek beef? Only time will tell.

Peep the whole rant below.

Kid Cudi- “JFKPSA”

cudder

A few days after giving us a taste of Speedin’ Bullet to Heaven  with  “Confused”, Kid Cudi has given us another new piece of music with the instrumental “JFKPSA.” The two-and-a-half minute piece has no vocals save some pieces of John F. Kennedy’s speech at Amherst College in 1963. He explained that while this song will not be on the album, it’s “just for you guys to vibe with and take on the world! Take on the world! Create the uncreated!”

He also revealed that his latest album has a very special dedication.

Check out the wicked PSA below.

Kid Cudi- “Confused”

Kid Cudi announced Speeding’ Bullet to Heaven was on its way at the beginning of the month. He promised us a single, too. “Confused” sounds like the transitional Cudi we got to know around Man on the Moon. As always, though, his vocal range made the best of this melody. Transcendent lyrics take us into the Kid’s mind all over again.
