Noisey recently released a short film, Very First Breath: A Film About Hudson Mohawke, focusing on the DJ, producer and songwriter. The film follows HudMo back to Glasgow, Scotland, his hometown, where we get insight to his upbringing, the friends he grew up with that he still remains close with today and how he started DJing and making music.
According to the accompanying Noisey article, “Ross celebrates his homecoming with a last minute Trance & Happy Hardcore rave, performing with his peers from the Glasgow scene, Rustie and Jackmaster.”

Due to unbelievably high demand, Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment have decided to put more tickets on sale for tonight’s Dallas stop of the 1st Annual Kunta’s Groove Sessions at Gilley’s. The show will be moving from the Music Hall to the Ballroom (the show is still at the same venue, just a different room). We can’t wait to experience such an incredible show and want to share this with as many of you as possible. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dom Kennedy’s two Texas dates next week will be moving from October 20 in Houston and October 21 in Dallas to December 11 in Dallas and December 12 in Houston. Casey Veggies will not be on the tour by that time so we are working on a dope replacement for him right now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but ultimately it is the best decision for the artist and everyone involved. Hudson Mohawke is a monster. He has carved out an incredible solo career amongst his already spectacular TNGHT project with Lunice and his production deal with Kanye West’s GOOD Music, producing songs for the likes of Drake, Pusha T, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Big Sean and more. He is embarking on a U.S. tour this fall, stopping in Dallas on November 7 with The-Dream, and you can get a preview of that show with MudMo’s recent trip to Maida Vale Studios where he played with his live band for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. This past weekend, Miguel kicked off his Wildheart Tour in Texas, supporting his wildly anticipated third release of the same name. Wildheart is a fresh take on R&B, blending elements of psychedelia and the inexplicable new sound that many are dubbing “future-soul” to create a unique project that can be jammed during more activities than just the horizontal tango. Miguel kicked the tour off in Austin on Friday, July 24 at Emo’s before moving onto Dallas at South Side Ball Room and Houston at Warehouse Live, all the while performing with his incredible live band. Today, Miguel released Wildheart, his third studio album and first full release in almost three years. The album features Miguel crooning over beautiful production, much of which is unorthodox in terms of the typical R&B you hear encapsulating the Top 40 these days. Miguel has a sound of his own and with a full band to accompany him on his Wildheart Tour hitting Texas next month, we know this is going to be an amazing experience for music lovers of all different kinds.
