If you live in Austin or have been to the city for a visit, concert or festival there is no doubt you’ve been in the presence of SprATX‘s work. Established in 2013, this art collective has been painting the walls of the city for years — from the infamous Graffiti Wall on Baylor Street, to installments at events like X Games. This gem represents over 20 local artists and muralists that through their work keep Austin beautiful. Tonight is the grand opening of their gallery, a new collective space for the artists, as well as a shop for supplies, apparel and original art. The party starts a 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. with live art, live music by DJ Chino Casino and tons of supplies, magazines, prints and art on sale. Check out the grand opening event today, or stop by another time at their E. Cesar Chavez location to buy some art for your collection and support these local artists.
