The Internet’s Ego Death has created some great sensation. They’ve now debuted a video for “Get Away” off of their third album in perfect timing with their tour swinging through the South. In her usual calm and collected fashion, Syd sings her smooth lines and lets the rest of the crowd go wild.

The Internet is on tour right now, stopping in Dallas tonight, San Antonio on Sunday, and Austin on Monday night. Don’t miss out on a dope show.

The Internet — The Ego Death Tour — Four Texas Shows

the-internet-ego-death

In December of 2011, The Internet blessed R&B with other-worldly music in their debut album Purple Naked Ladies. Since then, Odd Future alumni Syd the Kyd and Matt Martians have been giving us soulful sounds with members Patrick Paige, Christopher Smith and Jameel Bruner. The Internet’s headlining tour follows the release of their third studio album Ego Death. Leading up to the album release, The Internet teased fans by releasing the singles “Girl” and “Special Affair,” both featuring the mesmerizing vocals of Syd to accompany beautifully orchestrated instrumentals. Their four Texas stops will include opening performances from Moonchild, St. Beauty and other artists that compliment the celestial sounds of The Internet — like Milky Wayv featuring Bobby Earth from Houston.

Grab your tickets for one of the upcoming shows below, and stream The Internet if your ears have yet to be blessed by their etherial sounds. You can purchase Ego Death on iTunes.

Mick Jenkins – Get Up Get Down [Video]

Get Up Get Down

One of the main differences between Mick Jenkins’ latest project Wave[s] and his previous mixtape The Water[s] is more upbeat tempos. “Get Up Get Down” is Exhibit A. Instead of Mick placing himself in the video, he places three kids in Adidas tracksuits freestyle dancing (impressively) throughout the city. You’ve got shots of the Willis Tower (aka the Sears Tower) and the “L” train in the background, showing off Mick Jenkins’ powerful hometown, but the focus is on the kids and their carefree fun. Move your body.

Mick Jenkins will be moving through Texas next month with STWO. You can get tickets to his shows at the links below.

Houston, TX – 9/14
Austin, TX – 9/15
Dallas, TX – 9/16

The H2O-themed project continues with the theme of his previous, critically-acclaimed project, The Water[s].
