Wale is back with “One Reason” featuring Eric Bellinger, and the track is the follow up single to the summer hit “My PYT.” According to XXL, “the song is set to appear on Wale’s much anticipated album S.H.I.N.E. (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy). The catchy jam sounds tailor-made for radio and club play, so don’t be surprised if you hear it while you are out this weekend.”

Wale also shared the first image of his daughter named Zyla Moon Oluwakemi, who was born back in July. Lastly, Wale is currently putting final touches on his forthcoming album SHINE.

Wale Performs Live At The State Of The Union [Video]

In this historic achievement for the DC Rapper, Wale opens President Obama‘s last State Of The Union speech. People around the country tuned in to see our commander in chief and were treated to a live performance of Wale‘s “Chillin” and “LoveHateThing”. This is the first time a rapper as performed at a State Of The Union address. Armed with nothing more than a backup singer and his instrumental playing, Wale‘s charisma helped him win the crowd over. Wale’s performance versatility kept the show and energy going, as he finished off with “The White Shoes”. He also took a moment to announce his upcoming album, Shine. No other word on a release date for Shine, but stay tuned. You can watch his performance below.

Wale – New Phone

Wale is back with a new melodic and smooth slow jam, which has him singing for parts of this ballad. It would not be surprising to hear this one on the radio tomorrow, adding to Wale‘s other killer singles. “New Phone” is definite contender for a radio jam.
