In a surprising move, Taylor Gang dropped their new mixtape titled TGOD Vol. 1, which just dropped suddenly on Datpiff. The mixtape features new music from members Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign, Juicy J, Chevy Woods, Berner, Project Pat, and many more.

This mixtape also marks the first official group release from Taylor Gang since the crew recently finalized their deal with Atlantic Records. According to Yahoo, “the deal outlines that said partnership does not apply to Taylor Gang Artists like Wiz or Ty Dolla Sign, who have contracts with other major labels, and instead will focus on providing support for TGE’s newer artists.”

Curren$y – Situations (Ft. Wiz Khalifa)

Curren$y - Situations (Ft. Wiz Khalifa)

Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa collaborate on “Situations” from their joint effort titled #2009, a collaborative body of work that was supposed to be released last year. We’ve only gotten to hear from one track from the joint album called “Uber Driver.”  Last year, Wiz told MTV that “we’re just working on it constantly. He [Curren$y] just got off a tour and he always hits me up with new ideas about the project. He’s always sending me beats that he rapped to, or I’m sending him stuff that I rapped to. In the end, we’re just going to come out with something super dope.”

Wiz is currently working on his Rolling Paper 2 album, while Curren$y recently announced his Weed & Instrumentals 2 project. Listen to “Situations” below!

Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa released the first single off their forthcoming collaborative album TGOD Mafia Presents: Rude Awakening titled “All Night.” The LP will be released on June 3rd via Empire and is produced by TM88.

Originally, when TM88 first released the 14 song tracklist, the project was known as ‘TGODMAFIA’ but now it looks like Rude Awakenings will be the title. Additionally, Wiz recently released Khalifa back in February, while Juicy J released several mixtapes in 2015.

TGOD Mafia Presents: Rude Awakening was supposed to be released this week, but it will now arrive in June!

Wiz Khalifa – Electric Relaxation (Phife Dawg Tribute)

Wiz Khalifa has joined the list of hip-hop artists who have honored the legendary Phife Dawg, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 45. The entire Hip Hop community has definitely come together to mourn and celebrate the life of a rap pioneer. Furthermore, Wiz has shared a tribute remix of “Electric Relaxation,” a track by Phife and A Tribe Called Quest on the classic 1993 album, Midnight Marauders, in the wake of Phife’s death.

The homage to Phife was posted on the Taylor Gang official website, and Wiz recently dropped a video for the track to pay another tribute to Phife. Out of respect to A Tribe Called Quest, which was co-founder by Phife, Wiz kept the original beat and reworked some lyrics of his own. Check it out below:

Wiz Khalifa – Lit (Ft. Ty Dolla $ign)

wiz-khalifa-khalifa
Wiz is back with his new album Khalifa which he dropped a few days ago. Among all the bangers of his newest effort, Wiz collabs with Ty Dolla for a soulful vibe track called “Lit”. “Lit” begins with Wiz spittin his usual but beloved laid back flow. Ty Dolla backs up vocally on the chorus as well as contributing a crooning verse. BUT WAIT! There’s more! At about four minutes the entire instrumental changes to a more ambient banger. This second instrumental gives Wiz the perfect amount of room to flex his rhymes. You can listen to “Lit” below.
