In support of his most recent album, Jeffery, Young Thug dropped the visual for “Webbie” (feat. Duke). In the video, Thugger is definitely feeling himself. He’s  swagged out, dancing around, and throwing’ $100 bills. At one point it seems like he’s even making out with the cash? Yep, that’s a new one.

Young Thug – No, My Name Is Jeffery [Album Teaser]

jeff

Today, Young Thug Jeffery released a promo for his upcoming album, No, My Name Is Jeffery. In the video, Jeffery is in an interrogation type setting where different people refer to him as Young Thug and he continuously responds, “No, My Name Is Jeffery”.

Jeffery announced his name change, and dropped a song under his new name, last week. His official social media accounts are still under his original alias, Young Thug, so I guess we’ll have to stick around and see how this all plays out.

No, My Name Is Jeffery is set to drop this Friday, Aug. 26. Peep the teaser below.

Hello!! Is this JEFFERY??

Young Thug – John (featuring Wyclef Jean)

jeff

Today, on Travi$ Scott’s second episode of his new Beats One show, .wav radio, Young Thug/Jeffery dropped the first song off of his upcoming album Jeffery, “John” (featuring Wyclef Jean). The collab is a surprise for most, and the two definitely vibe very well together.

Earlier this week, Young Thug informed us that he is changing his name to Jeffery. It’s an interesting change but it’s been in the works for a minute, dating all the way back to SXSW earlier this year with Slime Season 3’s announcement being a funeral procession down Austin’s well known sixth-street. Little did we know at the time that this was a symbol of Thugger Jeffery re-naming/re-branding himself.

Listen to “John” below and stay on the lookout for Young Thug’s Jeffery’s upcoming album, Jeffery, which is expected Aug. 26.

Travis Scott & Young Thug – Pick Up the Phone (Ft. Quavo)

Travi$ Scott and Young Thug have finally released their NSFW music video for their collaboration titled “Pick Up the Phone,” featuring Quavo. The video starts off saying “the following content includes scenes containing explicit and graphic material. Viewer discretion is advised.”

The video finds Travi$ Scott, Young Thug, and Quavo surrounded by women with little to no clothing on, and we even get to see Travi$ hanging out with a hairless cat. According to Complex, “the song is released as a joint single because of issues between Scott, Young Thug, and their respective labels about who had rights to use it as a single, and releasing it under both artists’ names was a compromise.”

Nipsey Hussle recently dropped “Thug Life” last Monday featuring Young Thug, and he’s blessing us again with another track titled “Ocean Views.” Nipsey is definitely keeping his Marathon Mondays series going strong by dropping “Ocean Views.”

The new track is produced by Mike & Keys and DJ Khalil, and according to the BoomBox, Nipsey on the song “plays his signature role of soulful gangsta over live drumming, a moody bass groove and atmospheric keys.”

Nipsey’s official debut album The Victory Lap is also supposedly to be released later this year. Listen to the audio below!

Young Thug – Texas Love [Video]

Texas Love

Young Thug released visuals for his previously unreleased track “Texas Love” today, which feature a bouillabaisse of Texas elements thrown in to show Thugger’s appreciation and dedication to the Lone Star State. “If Texas love was a drug…” he sings as footage of the recent floods in Houston flash across the screen. The video is actually dedicated to the flood victims. Staying with the Texas theme, the video also features a silent, still Trae tha Truth (wyd Trae?!) and staying with the current events theme, Prince’s symbol is continuously shown in the background. Watch the unusual, yet attention-grabbing video below.

Young Thug – Make A Lot (Prod. by Metro Boomin)

Be-Me-See-Me-Young-Thug-Metro-Boomin
Many great musical duos have a history of feuding, so it’s no surprise that even rap/producer duo Metro Thuggin had it out over social media. Putting aside their recent twitter feud, Thugger and Metro Boomin drop “Make A Lot”. This vibey sample-heavy instrumental stays in minor throughout its 5 minute duration, giving room for Thugger’s crooning and rythmic flow. Those who discount this duo are truly missing out on some dynamic music, as is proof from this meloncholy toned single. Now that Metro and Young Thug are cool again, maybe we might see a collaborative album from them. For now, you can listen to “Make A Lot” below.
