This past weekend at Wireless Festival in London, Vince Staples sat down with Tim Westwood for an interview.

Big Sean crashed the interview for a minute in the beginning, and the two reveal that they will be linking up in the studio soon. They also spoke on making it as a black man in America, and Sean went off.

“We’re young black men from America. Do you know what that means? That means none of this s**t is promised to us, man. These watches, these whatever the f**k we like, taking care of our families, this s**t ain’t promised out here. We gotta work, and I work like I’m a f*****g slave.”

Big Sean left for part-two of the interview, and it’s back to just Vince and Tim Westwood. They talk about Vince’s upcoming project, the recent/past racial shootings in America, and Vince’s simple life back home.

At the end of the interview, Vince shows his respect for Tim Westwood’s interview style over the other interviewers/reporters that he’s sat down with. Vince even compares Westwood to the police.

“If every police officer acted and kinda took their job the way Tim Westwood takes their job, nothing in the world bad would happen. You’re just out here havin’ fun, doin’ it for the people bro. And that’s the difference between you and the police.”
