JAMBALAYA FEST – Austin (Photos)
This past weekend we launched our touring festival brand JAMBALAYA that included performances from RL GRIME, G-Eazy, Big Boi, Zeds Dead and Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt as Earlwolf. It stopped through Austin on Friday night in between Houston and Dallas giving music lovers a chance to get out of the pouring rain and enjoy an incredible evening. G-Eazy celebrated his birthday, Big Boi performed classic Outkast songs along with his own and the Odd Future fellas gave an out of this world energetic performance, as usual. We’re very thankful for everyone who made it out this weekend and we look forward to seeing you again at the next installment of #JMBLYA. See pictures from the Austin show below.

Travis Scott – Owl Pharaoh [Mixtape]
Not too often do we get the chance to embrace a dude that could change the game. Travis Scott with this LONG awaited release finally does that. Signed to G.O.O.D Music and Hustle Gang La Flame blessed us today with this mixtape Owl Pharaoh. Enjoy yall this is crazy good.
The Weeknd – John Carpenter [Snippet]
How can a man stir up the internet just from a 20 second audio clip of pretty terrible quality? Well if you’re name is Abel and you go by The Weeknd when you perform, you are capable of just that. The Weeknd dropped this video on his youtube channel titled “John Carpenter” yesterday and it has already received over 75k views. It appears to be a snippet of a new song and it sounds pretty phenomenal. Just when you were starting to forget about the guy he drops this with perfect timing to restore his mysterious hype factor. Who knows what will come next.
A$AP Ferg – Work (feat. French Montana, Trinidad Jame$, ScHoolboy Q, & A$AP Rocky) [Remix]
A$AP Ferg finally dropped the long overdue “Work” remix featuring the likes of French Montana, Trinidad Jame$, ScHoolboy Q, and A$AP Rocky. The wait was well worth it, this track is everything you could ask for from all of the artists involved in the making of it. French and Trinidad bring the hype verses you’d expect to hear from them while Ferg dabbles in his usual fast paced flow as well as hype factor he brings to the table. The winners of this track were definitely Q and Rocky. Both of them spit pretty much flawless verses that you can vibe to. The wordplay involved in these two verses as well as Ferg’s is exceptional. Be on the lookout for Ferg’s project Trap Lord coming supposedly around Memorial Day.
Jambalaya : Austin : Moves to Austin Music Hall // Set Times Announced
Our lineup for Summer 2013 was scheduled to play 3,000 capacity venues, but because Austin Music Hall had a previously confirmed event we looked to make an exception for Austin with The Backyard. However, when the Music Hall became available it made sense for us to make a move to downtown Austin to keep the similar model we’ve applied in the other markets. We love The Backyard and look to produce an event there soon.
In other news, we are incredibly saddened to share that Araabmuzik was shot in a robbery attempt (via billboard) and will not be able to perform at these events.
With Jambalaya the idea is for the fans to expect something that they’ve never experienced before. Our ipods today are not comprised of one genre, they’re a myriad, and it isn’t about making this in a huge field with multiple stages (although big festivals are great) but this particular event is about bringing different “stages” of talent and putting them on back to back. Its about providing a festival experience in an intimate setting. It exists in a space that hasn’t been explored but that we know that concert goer will adore. 3 years ago we booked an event that featured Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Steve Aoki,Big Sean, Bun B, ScHoolBoy Q, Chiddy Bang, and had special guest sets by Skrillex and Wiz Khalifa.. We were early in projecting the careers on that lineup, as we all know this would now be capable of selling out arenas. That’s what we’re here to do with Jambalaya. This is an 8 hour event with the best mixture of hiphop and dance music we could assemble. It is curated with love and passion for taste. Part of the vision is bringing a festival experience into a smaller club than one would expect it to play.
HERE ARE THE SET TIMES.
Juicy J’s Stay Trippy Tour: Texas x Louisiana

Mac Miller – Watching Movies
Mac Miller gives us the second single off his album Watching Movies with the Sound Off titled “Watching Movies”. This track is produced by Sap and Mac himself and goes in. The dude has changed his sound so much from previous releases and the progression is crazy good. The beat on this is absolutely insane and his flow fits nicely into it. Be ready for the tour coming to Texas in June, and his album releasing that month as well.
Hustle Gang – G.D.O.D. [Mixtape]
T.I.’s crew “Hustle Gang” finally released their much anticipated mixtape a few days ago. With verses from T.I., B.o.B, Young Dro, Travi$ Scott, Trae Tha Truth, Young Jeezy, and Meek Mill among others this is definitely a winner. We get a new version of Travi$ Scott’s 2012 track “Animal” with a new verse from B.o.B. This tape has a ton of bangers and is a pretty good start for the summer right around the corner.
