All you have to do is google “west” and your the page will be flooded with Kanye! That’s how busy he has been these last couple days. Just yesterday, he debuted he newly titled album, The Life Of Pablo, at a huge event in Madison Square Garden. This live debut of The Life Of Pablo also featured the unveiling of the Yeezy Season 3 clothing line, designed by Yeezy himself. As we count the hour till The Life of Pablo drops, we have a new Yeezy track that will be featured. This meloncholy retrospective track , called “30 Hours”, gives us some honest and heartfelt bars from Kanye. He released this gritty track via soundcloud/twitter with the caption “Now that the album is finally finished it’s back to Good Fridays.” Let’s hope this means a consistent tradition. You can listen to “30 Hours” below.

Freddie Gibbs – Money, Cash, H**s

freddie-gibbs_jpg
With the popularity he acquired after the release of his album Shadow Of A Doubt, Gangsta Gibbs is still on the grind. This new track is called “Money, Cash, Hoes”, which features production from Beat Bully. “Money, Cash, Hoes” features a piano centered beat that bangs menacingly while Gibbs give his gritty “dope raps”. Gibbs shows us again his musical versatility with this darker toned track, on which he delivers flawlessly. There is not too many rappers who can work with Madlib then turn around and drop some gangster “ish”. Gibbs is definitely straddling the line from “conscious” to “gangster”. You can listen to this new Gibbs track below.

Also don’t forget to buy you tickets to see Freddie Gibbs perform live in Texas. This upcoming tour takes him through four Texas cities. Stay Tuned cause these tickets go on sale Friday February 12th at 10am.

wiz-khalifa-khalifa
Wiz is back with his new album Khalifa which he dropped a few days ago. Among all the bangers of his newest effort, Wiz collabs with Ty Dolla for a soulful vibe track called “Lit”. “Lit” begins with Wiz spittin his usual but beloved laid back flow. Ty Dolla backs up vocally on the chorus as well as contributing a crooning verse. BUT WAIT! There’s more! At about four minutes the entire instrumental changes to a more ambient banger. This second instrumental gives Wiz the perfect amount of room to flex his rhymes. You can listen to “Lit” below.

Kanye Changes Album Name To “Waves”

It seems Kanye is doing some serious rearranging for his upcoming album. When we first heard about Ye‘s upcoming album, it was under the name So Help Me God. But Alas, Yeezus decreed this was not a fitting name for his newest effort, so the name was then changed to Swish. Today, Kanye tweeted yet again a name change for this insanely anticipated album, it will be called Waves. There is alot of speculation as to what this new title means but the most dominate so far is Wiz Khalifa‘s. According to Khalifa, “Waves” is derivative of rapper Max B, although “Waves” its probably just coincidental. The tracklist for “Waves” was also tweeted in a photo. The 11 song track list features the currently popular “No More Parties In LA” with Kendrick Lamar and “Wolves” with Sia and Vic Mensa. The tweet features Kanye’s handwritten tracklist as well as some famous signatures from what we assume are people who have listened or contributed to the album. You can see the tracklist and tweet below. Waves is set to release on Feb. 11.

Lil Bibby – Trapping In My Pradas

To carry on the tradition of #blessthebooth, DJ Booth enlisted Lil Bibby to stop by and spit a dope little diddly. While only being about 1 minute and a half, Lil Bibby continues to solidify his place in hip hop as a gritty rapper. This hot Dee The Drummer Produced instrument perfectly pairs with Lil Bibby raw delivery. You can listen to “Trapping In My Pradas” below.

Future – Purple Reign

Future-Purple-Reign-Cover-Art
With the release of his mixtape of the same name, Future has dropped the title track called “Purple Reign”. With none other than Metro Boomin on production, we hear Future Hendrix in rare form. Future uses all 4 minutes to reflect and vibe to the downtempo sonics, showcasing his more meaningful lyrics and melodies. This kind of song sheds more light on the depressing undertones Future Hendrix keeps in his music. The mixtape is available for download via Datpiff. You can listen to the track below.

Anderson .Paak – The Waters (Feat. BJ The Chicago Kid)[Youtube]

paak
LA Rapper/Singer Anderson .Paak has dropped some new funky heat with BJ The Chicago Kid. Anderson .Paak gained alot of exposure in 2015 with his new music and contributions to Dr. Dre‘s Compton. His lyrical skill and soulful vocals showcase the gospel elements within hip hop. The LA rapper has just released a new album entitled Malibu. Malibu features some pretty heavy hitting features including BJ The Chicago Kid‘s contribution on “The Waters”. This track’s groovy bass line is enough to have anyone bobbing their head, but BJ’s additional vocals add soul to compliment .Paak’s funk. BJ’s background crooning sets the overall mood for this “ghetto gospel”.  You can listen to “The Waters” below.

Young Thug – Make A Lot (Prod. by Metro Boomin)

Be-Me-See-Me-Young-Thug-Metro-Boomin
Many great musical duos have a history of feuding, so it’s no surprise that even rap/producer duo Metro Thuggin had it out over social media. Putting aside their recent twitter feud, Thugger and Metro Boomin drop “Make A Lot”. This vibey sample-heavy instrumental stays in minor throughout its 5 minute duration, giving room for Thugger’s crooning and rythmic flow. Those who discount this duo are truly missing out on some dynamic music, as is proof from this meloncholy toned single. Now that Metro and Young Thug are cool again, maybe we might see a collaborative album from them. For now, you can listen to “Make A Lot” below.
